Re: Tony Henry
actually according to this they are teh same man!!! and joing from Sunderland after a very very brief time there is correct terry

""Tony Henry once had a major falling out with super agent Jorge Mendes who manages the interests of Cristiano Ronaldo, Ricardo Carvalho and Jose Mourinho among many others.

Henry was a professional footballer in the seventies and eighties playing in the midfield or as a full back for the likes of Manchester City, Bolton Wanderers, Oldham Altletic and Stoke City.

He hung up his boots after 441 appearances and 71 goals in 1992 after short spells in Japan & Wales.

After retirement Henry became a scout and agent working for the Formation Group founded by Paul Stretford who has represented the likes of Wayne Rooney and a range of superstars.

During his time at Formation he came into contact with agent Mendes who he helped bring Portuguese players to the Premier League.

Henry later gave evidence in a court case with Mendes “I gave two and a half years of my life to Mendes,” said Henry

“I worked non-stop, introducing him to people, trying to get his players into clubs. We shared our fees honourably, but then once he knew people, and got Mourinho into Chelsea, he went on his own.”

Henry went to become chief scout for Chelsea before joining Everton in the same role and then Sunderland in March this year.

As exclusively revealed on Claret and Hugh he is now running down his gardening leave before he joins us as director of recruitment in November.""

Blimey, wrong AGAIN

That's becoming an unwelcome habit in the last couple of weeks.

I hold my hands up and stand corrected

Re: Tony Henry
this came up before

confusion easyto understand as there are two scouts called Tony Henry

We took the EVerton one, the Sunderland one only joined them from Chelsea in 2014 which is when the Everton one first agreed to join us

There are two things wrong with this thread.
Rodfarts calling Pub Bigot a mong and a mess,a self description if ever there was one.
And bringing in Henry from Everton, when he arrived here from Sunderland.

Well you open the thread, read it and there's posts about Henry on there.

Simple really

One McAvennieeeeee 12:31 Tue Mar 22
Re: Tony Henry
Blimey what's wrong with some of you people? Maybe Bigot has only just found out about the role Henry plays. It's pretty relevant at the moment and is West Ham related.

Someone has directed him to a thread titled 'Sky sources understand'. How does anyone know that's about him?

Private Dancer 12:25 Tue Mar 22
Re: Tony Henry
Pub - Fody's got a point, following on from the pointless Fabregas thread you start this one on Henry, which has been done to death. You need to up your game, son.

whufcroe 12:24 Tue Mar 22
Re: Tony Henry
Henry is the director of recruitment who looks after our scouting network.

But a director of recruitment is only any good if they are working for and in harmony with the manager as seems to be the case.

You only have to look at Villa, Newcastle and Sunderland to see how not to do it.
